Customer Reviews

Risk - Reward considerationNeed steady hands and caution to be sure the bulb sticks to the changer. I have 12' ceilings so my extension is perfect length. Haven't dropped any bulbs yet. I consider this product as the low cost option. If you fear dropping a bulb, then buy something with a cage for the bulb. Works for me.3Works Great and Well-Thought Out DesignFor years I used one of the big box suction cups with a pull string. It worked okay but the suction cup had a tendency to warp over time and need to be replaced. This changer is made of a thicker rubber and I expect it to last longer. It also has a very smart design where no string is required, simply pulling down released the suction. Before changing a bulb high up, you should practice to make sure you know how much pressure is required and get a feel for when suction is obtained. For my two 20 foot high bulbs, it worked great.5This actually works!!!!This worked on our canned lights that are two stories high and above our stairs. Impossible to reach. Anyway, tried a bunch of different things and this was the only thing that worked. Make sure you get the correct attachment for your bulb type. We needed the flood light attachment for our bulbs.5Keep the ladder in the garage.Mr. Longarm worked well for me. I use it on indoor recessed fixtures. We have 12 ft. ceilings with a couple of fixtures located in the kitchen over counters that make them very difficult to reach with a ladder. It fit my standard painter's pole with no problems. Wet the cup before using it to build maximum suction. I dropped a bulb I was removing with the cup dry. Had no problem getting the cup to let go of the bulb once it was installed, just work it sideways until the vacuum breaks. For outside use, I suspect that coating the threads with No-Ox, available at any hardware store, would help prevent oxidation and stuck lamps. Glad I found this handy tool.5This product is terrible. Do not waste your money on this!!1DisappointedWhat a colossal and total waste of money. Purchased to replace flood light bulbs that are in an outdoor light fixture approximately 20 feet from ground level. Regardless of the measure taken, it is impossible to attach the suction cup to the bulb face, much less to rotate the bulb to loosen the base from the socket. Perhaps the product works in a different application, but not mine.1Received the item however it doesn't work very well. ...Received the item however it doesn't work very well. Tries using it on our can lights on our 20ft ceilings however if you push too hard on the bulb to get suction it alters the housing of the light, was never able to get a suction on the bulbs. I'll go with the claw style next time2Does not grip bulbs as well as it shouldAfter using this suction cup for several months, I have found it to be too stiff to cling to spotlight bulbs in the high ceiling at my office. When I use this suction cup to remove the old bulbs, the usually end up crashing to the floor. I have successfully installed new bulbs however as I began to twist the new bulb into the socket the suction cup loses its grip on the building and I have to apply continuous pressure to keep the bulb from falling and breaking. The suction cup that was previously on the end of my extendable pole was much more flexible and gripped bulbs much better however it was old and beginning to deteriorate so I replaced it with this one.1No real suction, bulbs mostly just sit on it ...No real suction, bulbs mostly just sit on it. I lost two bulbs, one plastic no mess, one glass and a big mess1XxxxxFunctional, but isn t the best working thing I ve ever used. Hard to get good suction to unscrew a light bulb5
