I found it!!! This is our third and final attempt to get a keyboard case for my brothers iPad mini 4. Every other case I ve bought was the wrong one. Buyer error. This one works perfectly. Has a nice feel. Durable. And keyboard part is awesome. Finally done. Hahahaha. 5Flawed design and inferior plastic leads to cracking around hinges. Flawed design. Brittle plastic has cracked on all 3 of these I received including replacements. Stress points of hinges lead to cracks developing in a matter of months of use. Insipio does not stand by their product as can be seen below. Problem being it doesn't connect to iPad anymore. Problem starts couple weeks ago.You can get something better for less.Very good case with Minor problems1. Heavier than expected. Not necessarily a bad thing as it feels more substantial in hand.2. The keyboard is very well built but with a slightly uncomfortably tweaked layout that takes a few days to get used to,3. The build quality of the iPad housing is somewhat flimsy....but functional for what it is.4. Has auto sleep feature to save batteries when the keybaord is not in use for sometime. Not sure if just my unit, there's a noise when re-initiate the connection after a period in idle...much like the noise of a dvd driver on a laptop but quieter. I really need to pay attention to hear the noise.5. Every port is fully accessible in case you are wondering. Also no reduction in sound volume as there are cut outs for speakers.6. Can't comment yet on the battery life...will update...if I remember that is.7. The hinge is very stiff. I consider that a plus on cases like this.Overall a very good case. Might be overpriced for some depends on preferences. 2Very underwhelming for the price tag. Proceed with caution... No auto-shut off, poor fitment, I came from using a case that costs less than half the price of this one on my previous iPad Mini 3. When I upgraded to the iPad Mini 4, I had hoped to buy the same case, but that manufacturer doesn't make the case for the iPad Mini 4. I waited for this case to become available from Incipio because it met some of my objectives: doesn't block the bottom so you can access the control center by swiping up (some of the Logitech cases prevent this because of how close the screen is to the actual keyboard), allows you to use it in "tablet" mode by folding back the keyboard, and the case surrounds the ipad 100%.Unfortunately, it misses the mark in several of these areas. First off, it fits pretty loosely in the case around the top corners. While it seems to be held in ok, it's an annoyance that the case moves slightly off of the ipad during normal use. It bothered me that I could feel the case corners "peeling" away from the iPad during normal use.Second, it doesn't have the magnet shut-off, so when you close the lid, you have to MANUALLY shut off the iPad... come on, really!?When it folds back for "tablet mode", which I like to use when reading in bed or on the couch, your hands are touching the keyboard keys, which is extremely annoying. I will say that the keyboard is smart enough to know when you put it in "tablet" mode and turn off the keyboard, that way when your fingers are touching the keys, it's not actually sending the keypresses to the iPad. I still found it a distraction that my fingers were always pressing/touching keys when simply holding the case in "tablet" mode. I wish they implemented a swivel similar to this product: SHARKK Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad Mini, iPad Mini Retina and iPad Mini 3 (SK365BKLT-BLK) - this is what I had on my old iPad Mini and it was amazing, although the keyboard lacked a bit.I think if Incipio would spend more time, money, and effort on fixing some of the nuances above rather than spending it on the ridiculous amount of packaging they include with this product, than it could be the ultimate keyboard/case combo, and they could probably reduce the cost a bit for their customers. I'd rather pay for the product, rather than the Apple-esque packaging that this case comes in. I found it a bit of an overkill.Overall, I returned this product because I was unhappy with it. Hoping I can find the perfect case for me. If only Sharkk would make the above case for the iPad mini 4! 2Good but damaged. The product is good and very well made, but the one that I received was damaged. I'm returning it and I hope the next one don't be. 4I loved this case I had to give this product a one star unfortunately. I loved this case, it was the best....very sturdy, keys took a little time getting used to but once I did, I was so happy! Then, I started to notice thin cracks, first ..on one side along the back. I never have dropped or mishandled it, so I couldn't figure out what impact could have caused it. It was so thin it didn't worry me, but as time went on I noticed cracks forming alongside the hinge. So thin, I didn't make the connection that this was the beginning of the end. The case felt so durable, I thought it was indestructible!! WRONG! Let me note also, I used this tablet only once a week, every week for about 45 mins. At the most, during a weekend, twice a year at a special event, 4-5 hours. I bought it 10 mos ago and yesterday it totally broke on one side of the hinge. Broke, as in separated! I wanted to cry. As much as I loved this case, I'm angry right now over my loss. Reviews seem to indicate this is a common occurance. I want to buy another one, but don't want to enter into an abusive relationship with Clamcase Pro. I called Incipio to see if the pro had been redesigned and they said only the two newer models had been, for the larger iPads.... All I can say is...buy at your own risk, or as soon as you notice a crack, if it's within your 90 day A-Z warranty from a third party seller, report it and you may get a refund. 1Arrived damaged. The shipping box was intact, not damaged in the slightest bit. Once I opened the shipping box, the packaging that the case came in looked fine as well. There is a magnetic viewing flap to see the keyboard case inside without having to physically open the box itself. From there, that's when I saw the crack at the hinge that many reviewers had talked about. I was a little bummed but then went back on to amazon to just do an exchange for a new one in high hopes that the new one will be in better condition. Fingers crossed! 3the best keyboard out there to make an iPad work/feel like ... IMHO, the best keyboard out there to make an iPad work/feel like a small full notebook computer. Works perfect and flawlessly as well as offers protection for the pad. The only downside is the case tends to crack near the hinge on the left side. I have gone through two of these cases and both have small cracks starting at the same place. I am not sure how serious this will become. 4
