    I bought a couple of these, and used one ...I bought a couple of these, and used one to make a speech module for a Star Wars Jawa costume... and it works perfectly! I've had a number of people ask me where I got it, how I did it, etc. Hopefully these will become available again, I want to buy a few more! 5More or less exactly what I was looking forExtremely useful and with nicely thought out features. I love this device!One nitpick is that I wish the integrated speaker was modular so that I could remove it if I plan to always have an external speaker/amp attached. For my application (inside a costume glove), the ability to take that speaker off would be very welcome.The software for loading the device is a little intimidating and I'd rather just have access to the device as a drive and maybe some detailed instructions for how to lay out the files. It's usable, just a little overly clicky.Device outputs nice quality sound and the ability to plug it into a powered speaker (like a voice amplifier) is very nice. I'm planning to wire this into a costume glove, like I said, and then pass a 3.5mm cord to an amplifier worn around my neck for some "ventriloquism" using stored sounds. Thumbs up! 4Not high qualityI bought this to drive an audio sound effects board for my local history center, but I may not bother. To get decent sound, you need to change the "Voice Output" to "DAC for Ext.AMP" for each key (button). I don't know what this means, but the video example on the Electronics123 website said to do it, and it provides better sound than the default.The "300 seconds" of playback is based on low-quality sound, and the module doesn't support anything higher than mediocre quality (even using the headphone jack to go to good speakers), which limits you to about 1 minute of actual playback. Regardless, every sound playback is followed by an audible click, for some reason.My board is listed as PM6616, which supposedly allows 500 seconds of playback (according to the spec document and software), which at least provides about 90 or 100 seconds at not-terrible quality. That's only about 25 seconds per button.The programming software is poorly documented. You have to find the specs at pm60.com, not electronics123.com, to even find out what the trigger functions do (I prefer "Toggle On/Off", which lets you stop playback by pressing the button again). The software itself is not intuitive and is poorly tested. When I realized I needed to add separate files to separate groups (one press = one group playback) so they wouldn't all play back sequentially for a given button, I tried to drag and drop the file from the group 1 list onto another group and got a critical error that crashed the software.One thing that would make this nicer/more useful would be if they offered a permanent installation version that came with an AC adapter and Happ style buttons for easy mounting in an enclosure. But this version doesn't even have holes in the board to mount it with screws, so I'm not sure how they even intend for you to use it. 3Mediocre productVery easy to use if you read the reviews here and follow the directions on the website. TERRIBLE sound quality from a tiny speaker. The whole circut and speaker are glued to a piece of paper. 3Works great!!Works great!! My co-workers hate me though because I use it all the time. I have all my funny sayings on this machine and use it at meetings. I have a drum roll and other funny sounds. 5Nice little unitNice little unit. I only wish I could find one with a longer recording time. My one file is 299 seconds long and playback is not the greatest. 5Did the trick, good way of adding sound to a picture shadowboxPurchased for a mother's day shadowbox we made for mom. Brought mom to tears when my daughter gave it to her. Instructions were sort of cumbersome but I was able to figure it out. Volume was loud enough and did the trick. Pleased with the purchase. 4Just turn off your antivirus for a bit if using the software for Windows 10Had some problems with the software on Windows 10 as the application was marked as a virus by my antivirus, but turning it off for a bit allowed me to use the program without any problems (wouldn't be bad to do a virus scan after if you're worried). Seller was quick in responding to my questions which was really appreciated. The sound quality is what you'd expect from a teddy bear with a music button at stores, which was exactly what I needed for my tape recorder to cosplay as Jacket from Hotline Miami. 5It worked fine loading sounds on my win 10 PCWorks as described and I saw some say it does not work with windows 10, which is incorrect. The module came quickly and I was able to follow instructions & links to get things working rather quickly. I tried two sound effects and decided the next day to make some edits. Then when I listened it sounded distorted. I retried several times over the next week and became frustrated. Finally I went thru Amazon to contact the merchant. The first attempt did not go through, I had attached some pictures, that were not allowed. My second attempt worked. I was contacted by a very knowledgable technical person from Electronics123.com. After some good detective work he determined I was using "PWM Direct Drive" in the programer (the default) and should have been using "DAC for Ext. AMP". Now it works and sounds GREAT!. My problems were self inflicted. The technician for the merchant "Electronics123.com" was realy helpful, patient, and courteous. I bought a second module for future additional uses! 5
